OTEPI attends the ECC Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona

OTEPI was again present at the Convention of the Engineering and Construction Contracting Association, held this year in the city of Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.

This event allows one, among other things, to get to know the world trends in the industry, to plan future strategies for the business, exchange ideas and methods for adding value to capital investment projects, learn to handle risk, discuss in different workshops the critical aspects of the industry and how they are affecting the business, as well as the opportunity to establish a network that allows solid relationships to be built up.

The ECC, the Engineering & Construction Contracting Association, is an international organization formed by owners, contractors and suppliers committed to enhancing the results of capital investment projects and to increasing the competitiveness of its members worldwide.

In tune with the environment

OTEPI’s clients and friends will receive this year’s Corporate Annual Report via email, as a measure designed to diminish the use of paper and plastic products that increase the emission of greenhouse gases, in alignment with our policy of respect for the environment.

Health Week and Procedures to Get Identification Documents

Always seeking the greatest benefit for and opportunities to simplify our employees’ lives, the Human Relations and Services Unit offered special procedures to provide identity documents and a whole week of activities having to do with their health.

Between October 27th and 31st, OTEPI’s personnel in Caracas got check-ups ranging from their eyesight to their bones. This included 15-minute relaxing massages, vaccines and ophthalmological, dental and dermatological diagnoses. Also, checkups were made for osteoporosis, cholesterol and triglycerides. To end off, our personnel were able to get the medical certificates for their driver’s licenses easily and economically, without having to leave the OTEPI offices.

Standing by the La Dolorita community

For the return to classes, the OTEPI community contributed school supplies and computer equipment to the Mariscal Sucre School in La Dolorita, Petare, in Venezuela, in response to the “Help us to Help II” Campaign.

For the second straight year, OTEPI sponsored this corporate volunteer initiative, collecting school supplies to donate to this school. The response was enthusiastic, and everything from encyclopedias to toys was collected. Also, the firm donated five computers, which will be incorporated into the center we equipped last year during the first edition of this campaign.
