Once again, OTEPI’s capacity for developing projects having to do with unique building structures has been proven, this time in the health care area. |

As part of an important program for the building and rehabilitation of hospital centers in Venezuela, OTEPI Consultores is developing the detailed engineering for the electrical modernization of three of these buildings.
These jobs are the key to the incorporation of new and modern medical equipment with which these hospitals will be equipped.
The project required an initial phase involving the acquisition of on-site information regarding the present state of the installations, as well as information regarding previous engineering developed there. The execution phase of the engineering contemplates, additionally, a phase for construction planning and job control, a phase for on-site technical assistance to the executing contractor during the construction period, as well as special inspections, when requested by the client, to ensure that the actual execution complies with the original design and with all legal regulations.
“Our incursion into an area as specialized as hospitals contributes to expand our engineering capacity in projects for the field of special building structures”, points out Martín Fierro, the Project Manager. “Our goal is to form a team of engineers in this specialty, as we did with the Proyecto Metro (Subway Project) in Caracas, Venezuela; this will allow us to develop and sustain the know-how that will permit us to replicate this experience in other centers and geographical areas.”
