The Port Barcelona combined cycle has a 2x109FB-type (single axle) configuration with an approximate power generation of 2x400 MW, using 9FB-type gas turbines, steam turbine, alternators, heat recovery boilers (HRSG) and a distributed control system (GE-DCS), supplied by General Electric (GE/EA). The design of the central unit is based on that of the GE 109FB standard plant.
