Consultancy on conceptual design of offshore facilities

With extreme efficiency and in record time, a consultancy project was completed for Hocol on the conceptual design of offshore production facilities in order to achieve optimum extraction operations and allow it to accurately determine both investments and offshore operation costs. This will allow our client to make the right financial decisions.
This consultancy relies on a subsoil-surface integration methodology, based on establishing a hydrocarbons collection system that takes into account the characteristics of the deposits, the productivity of each well and the assembly of the surface facilities.
In December, 2004, a Master Agreement was signed with Petrobras in order to provide support in the areas of Geosciences and Information Management for a period of two years.
This agreement was achieved based on the excellence of our personnel and the experience we have developed in these highly specialized areas, which position us as one of the most important emerging companies in subsoil matters.
Agreement on the execution of courses on deposit engineering and production

OTEPI and ACIPET signed a cooperation agreement to offer courses in Colombia at preferential prices to members of ACIPET. Training activities, besides being a very profitable business, also represent for OTEPI a strategic positioning mechanism for future projects and consultancies. There is a portfolio of 24 courses and the first ones are expected to begin during the last quarter of 2005.

Since March, 2004, the Subsoil Unit, part of OTEPI Operations and Maintenance, has been conducting a multiclient assessment study of the existing energy resources in terms of the expectations of crude and gas volume discovery.
Clients so far using this important study on the evaluation of exploratory opportunities include: Chevron, ENI, Repsol YPF, Statoil and British Petroleum.
